Are the prices that most resellers are posting the final prices or are they going to drop at the release? I see some providers with a price of $18.50 per month 50 users yet you can get TS servers at most places for around $8 for a 50 man. Just wondering as it is said the pricing will be competitive with ventrilo and teamspeak. My math may be flawed but isn't that over twice the price in comparison? Or is the price going to vary depending on the reseller?

Here's my opinion on this:
Licensing costs may be different or cost ineffective for some providers - directly translating into the fluctuation of end user cost you're seeing.
While there is always consideration of "MSRP", it is just that - a suggestion to resellers. The bottom line is the cost of license, plus cost of service/support, and overhead. That doesn't account for profit. If you're always in the red - especially now - why bother?
That said, I do feel the licensing costs should be kept in check as the horrid days of licensing Ventrilo from Flagship were just... *shudder*. And not to rain on the parade but... TeamSpeak is cheap due to supply & demand - which is to say, "Not much". The parent company has a lot more going for it than TS - hence the lack of development on that end (and the lower cost). To be frank, while still valid it's certainly not the strongest ammunition for a comparison.

I follow what your saying and I am a lover of mohawk in everyform (yeah I'm that sick). I have been looking forward to the commercial release for awhile now. I love the features and I loved the fact it would be "competitive" with TS and Vent pricing. I only used the TS just for the sake of comparison. In fact I can get a Vent or TS 50 man server for around $8 from several sources. As we know the only positive about TS is it uses low resources which is important to people with lower end PC's. Vent has alot of features and pretty decent quality but it is a big resource hog. MoHawk has bridged the gap which is uber awesome. But at more than twice the price I become a bit leary. "No" I am not saying the developers time and effort is not worth it. Just saying that it's not what I expected and was wondering if that was a few "Off" resellers or is that the locked in price.

Based on all of the discussions I've had with our providers, Mohawk will be less expensive than Ventrilo to rent.
:) :)

I will be running Mohawk 20 to 30 % cheaper than any ventrilo or teamspeak... On top of that Any current vent customer will get Mohawk free for a month to try out Mohawk.
Whenever it gets released

We will be selling Mohawk at 20 to 30 % cheaper than Vent or Teamspeak on top of that any current vent or teamspeak customers will get Mohawk free for a month to try it out and they can decide to keep it or go back to vent or teamspeak.
