[TUTORIAL] Registering New Users

Registering Users *Rough Draft*

1. Login as Sysadmin or Channel Admin: Make sure you're a sysadmin or channel admin to make these changes, otherwise it will not appear as this tutorial shows.

2. Find the desired user: Locate the user you wish to upgrade to a registered user. Once located, right click on their name. (Picture (http://mohawkvoice.com/faq/registering-user/registering-user-1.JPG))

3. Registering the user: Now that you've selected the user, enter the guest users full name. This does not have to be their real name, but can be any name used to identify them. (Picture (http://mohawkvoice.com/faq/registering-user/registering-user-2.JPG))

4. Done!: Reviewing your Mohawk server, you should now see the user with [ ] around their name, with the name you registered them in the [ ]. The user will receive a message saying they've been registered. (Picture (http://mohawkvoice.com/faq/registering-user/registering-user-3.JPG))

Sounds great - Can I ask whether you have an api set up to allow a web interface to do the admin actions?

If you do, do you have an interface alreadyt prepared.

Also, do you have a status website viewer to see who is on?

Okay, just got this last night and trying to set everything up. I have my client up and my server going. But I can't figure out how to make myself admin in the client!! I have my admin in the server part of course but not on the client download where I can actually add people and set rooms up and everything.

How can I actually do this? I can't even log in or out of the client it just takes me to the main screen and I just click connect. But of course right now I have to keep refreshing my connection because no one is in there because I am trying to work out the bugs on my end before to many get in there an I do not know how to do anything.

Please help!!!!!

You need to login with the username your host/provider gave you for your server. Not your "nick" that you would normally use. Once you do that and relog you will be asked for your password. Again this is the password your host/provider gave you.

You can later rename yourself to your regular gamer name/nick, just right click on your name and rename. To add channels and all that just right click on the server name or lobby channel.
