Perhaps the current client does not contain this functionality or perhaps there is another service/client I must use...

How do I access the administrative aspect of Mohawk? I was given a test server to test with but I am unable to manipulate the server. I was, however, given a user name and password - though I cannot seem to find any place that I might use these credentials.

If this is currently contained within the live client (1217 as of this posting), then please advise. I will drop in a suggestion about making this more accessible.

Thank you!

Sorry for the confusion.

Click Setup and enter the username you were provided in the username space. Then connect and enter the provided password.

From there you will see a whole host of administrative options.

Right clicking on the "world" (the top of the channel structure) will allow you to create/edit users. Also checkout the "SysAdmin Functions" (next to "FILE").

Thank you for the response! This is beginning to make a bit more sense.

To clarify:

- In order to manipulate the server, the user must first use the... generic? or pre-defined? ... admin username
- Upon connection, the user is prompted for the pre-defined password
- Once complete, this "new environment" is strictly isolated for server manipulation
- Upon finishing any administrative tasks, the user then logs out
- The user may then reconnect using any Username they desire

Please confirm if this is correct as it will help me construct some feedback. While I understand the intent, I am still not entirely sold on the execution; this may change over time but this feels "out of the way".

Perhaps that is intended?

Thanks again!

Upon release it is expected that a user will purchase a server from a licensed provider. They will at that time request their initial administrative password.

Once they are provided with their server they can connect with the username and password.

Should they desire the ability to create another "System Admin" (highest level admin) they can do so by right clicking on the "Globe" (channel root) and registering a new user. They will be able to select the user type and a number of other options.

There is of course the option to simply right click on yourself once logged in as SysAdmin and change the username to your preference. Password maintaining its existing value.

Ah I see.

I like that method actually, and now that I've used it this seems much more intuitive.

There are so many points of feedback I may begin compiling now regarding all of this new functionality. A lot of it might be rectified via clear and concise documentation but I will add them as feedback nonetheless.

Thank you very much for providing this information!

Hey Jon, I've added feedback to the Bugs/Suggestions forum. (http://forums.mohawkvoice.com/showthread.php?p=1563#post1563)

Primarily polish issues, I am satisfied with the scope of the administrative tools. Most everything desired seems accounted for in some form. You may note a focus on ease of use and user friendliness in the feedback.

Expect to hear more once I have an extended period of time to focus test.

Thanks again for the opportunity!
