Do you use speakers or a headset?

i use a headset but i just realized these things, it has nothing to do with mohawk itself apparently(we just only noticed it now probably because mohawk has a crisper audio codec than ventrilo does, aka we didnt notice it before).
users can hear themselves talking when i hold my push to talk key, even without a mic plugged in. Basically they hear any sounds from my computer, including in-game sounds and well anything.
also my sound recorder picks up all sounds as well. whether it be a youtube video or mp3.
i have my mic muted in the playback volume properties so i don't hear my mic through my headphones as usual.
i've never seen anything like this before no idea how to fix this problem :[
edit: forgot to mention, i've plugged my headset into another computer for testing and there are no problems on the other computer.

Are you using a creative sound card?

Definately a sound card issue. Some sound cards bleed output over their input channels. If upgrading your drivers doesn't help then obtaining a quality sound card is the answer.
Wtf has the admin never hear of "stereo mix" or sometimes called "what you hear".Mute stereo mix and if your sound card has "what you hear" options mute/disable it.Its only used when recording anyway, so just enable it when you record.
Kinda make me lose confidence in the admin
