Hey guys,

loving the software but I'm constantly getting an error. AFAIK its only happening when playing Bad Company 2, but not always.

E093 My AudioOut.[username] routine had a serious error: AudioOut MMResult 4: The specified device is already in use. Wait until it is free, and then try again.. You have been logged off.

It comes up with seemingly random names from the server, the only thing i could think it could be related to is a clash with in game Bad Company 2 voice (although, I never use the in game VOIP at all, nor does anyone else in our servers.)

Im running Windows 7 64bit. Any ideas? I spose if it is clashing with in game VOIP i could disable it, but it does come in handy when playing with people not on the mohawk server, especially as we run the game servers and regularly need to speak with people on them.

Hi there,

Are you using Direct Sound or Windows Wave in SETUP?

What sort of Audio device are you using as well?

Im using windows WAV (ill switch it to DirectSound and see how it goes)

as for audio device, microphone/speakers via Realtek High Definition Audio.

Yeah I was going to suggest trying Direct Sound. Let us know if it still doesn't work right. Thanks!

still giving errors in DirectSound mode. The odd thing is that (i have dual screen) i can see the mohawk errors popping up (usually when someone connects) but it doesnt actually stop working until i focus on the mohawk window. Is there some way i could possibly disable the errors from popping up, since they dont actually seem to make mohawk fail unless I alttab out of game to the mohawk window?

Are you running any software or hardware firewalls? Do you use a router? If so what type?

Interesting that you say Mohawk works fine until you acknowledge the error, we can at least hide/ignore the error moving forward.

I don't use anything but the windows firewall, but I have a DIR-615 router.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to try and recreate the error all that often for a while; severely damaged hand means I'm not going to get into game for a little bit.

I'm very sorry to hear of your mishap!

We're going to work hard to find the solution to this problem. Your mention that the program works fine even after the error appears is very valuable (until you acknowledge the error).
