Low Res Images/Icons

Any reason why on the mohawk client all the images/icons are low res ? It just really takes away the quality of the product.

Which icons are low res? All the icons are 16x16, you can't fit much in that space.

They all seem to be low res, as they are not crisp. They should be easier to make crisp considering they are small :)

You're actually wrong Derek, 16x16 restricts the amount of detail within an image. Be specific on the icons you view as worst and we will make an additional effort to improve them.

Actually Jon, there is a method to increase the pixel depth beyond that of the actual image size.

A set of good quality high pixel depth icons is really needed to add "pop" to the GUI.

Actually, I think I'm going to make a handful tonight and mock up what the interface would look like with them.

A recording feature is being worked on right now. Tomorrow or the next day we'll be releasing the final test version before we go V1.0.

The recording feature should be in the first post-release patch... which should come in 1-2 months.

As for the icons, I'll look forward to seeing what you come up with Crothers -- your help is really appreciated!!

I put that together really quick using the free Creative Commons 2/3 licensed "Silk Icon Set" from famfamfam.com.

Even something that simple, added a much more "quality made" look to the product, and to the VOIP market, the guts of the program can't be the only thing superior. Gotta look good to ;)

Also, what kind of UI library are you using with the Delphi code?

Is it something like Glade XML, or is it win forms?

Thanks, its just a mockup in photoshop of my opinion on the user interface, its not actually a functioning program.

Time will tell though :)

At the moment the program is code-complete, but GUI changes are easy. So we're going to be working with Crothers to get some of the icons fixed up.

The new icons are in there, and were put into place prior to the Version 1.0 release :)

The icons I see are the same icons posted above in prior posts. I am on v1.0 Build 1417.

I am on 1.0 1415 and some of the icons are changed and some aren't. Did you guys change them all? Not sure if this is a bug.
